One more day of early registration for NSD!

Last week I announced the opening of registration for National Scrapbook Day, happening at my place on Saturday, May 1st. This year's theme is Sweet 16, recognizing the 16th year of the National Scrapbook Day celebration with Creative Memories!

Register by this Thursday, April 1st for $20 (a $5 discount) and you'll join the Sweet 16 Club! Sweet 16 Club members get VIP treatment at the event, with an extra gift at their seat, a mid-crop back rub (uh-huh, you read that correctly) and extra raffle tickets for some GREAT prizes!

Also, all attendees will be asked to bring a picture of themselves at 16 to be displayed at the workshop! This is not mandatory, but it is fun!

Finished Layout: Brent and Lisa's Wedding

Sometimes less is more, and that's a good thing to remind yourself of when you start to get overwhelmed by a project. In this case, I had been putting off ordering pictures from Brent and Lisa's wedding for months because (as is usually the case when a professional photographer is involved), there were TOO MANY great pictures to choose from!


I gathered the stationery together that I had saved after the wedding, and I chose a background paper from the Jewel Power Palette (my favorite!) to go with the blue wedding theme. When I finally sat down to go through the wedding photos and make some choices, I discovered that the pictures of myself and Scott were not all that great, and what I really wanted to highlight was the bridal party, in which Scott was included as a groomsman! The wedding party photos were fantastic, and you couldn't even tell that they had all been dripping in the 100 degree heat in Palo Alto that day.

I double-matted the photo, tucked in our placecards and added the Save The Date card, and realized that I didn't need anything more than that! The beauty of the background paper coupled with the fabulous photo were enough to make me happy. DONE!

This Saturday, I'd like to invite all new customers and any customers who have not yet been able to attend a workshop to come over and crop for an evening! Bring your current album/project and tools, or sit down with me and we'll plan your next project together. This workshop will include an introduction to the Creative Memories products and techniques, a home-cooked dinner for all, and free products. Best of all, this workshop is FREE!

April 16^th @ 6pm: Simply Beautiful Card Workshop
This featured project will make 16 greeting cards that you can use all year long. I'll be posting more about it soon, as I'm finishing up my sample cards now. Pre-payment will be required, sign up by April 6^th (yes, this will be held at the new house!).

April 15^th and 17^th- Power Palette Layout Classes
