The opening session on Friday morning was FILLED with big announcements, so I'm going to reveal them in one post at a time. To begin, the auditorium was packed with 2,000 consultants...

... it was time for the first big announcement! We all know and love the Creative Memories logo, right? It hasn't changed since CM was founded 23 years ago. Well... it is now seen by some as being slightly outdated, and perhaps a bit too corporate for this fun, friendly, creativity-based company. Check it out here:
While this logo is known by many, it was definitely time for an update.
Introducing... the NEW look of Creative Memories!
The story behind the floral-like button in the "O" is great. It represents three different areas of the CM business: it most obviously represents the paper flowers that we use in traditional scrapbooking. It's also designed to represent the aperture of a camera's shutter as it closes. Finally, it looks to some like a spinning disc (or cd), representing our digital scrapbooking.
And check out what was spinning on the walls as the new logo was revealed!
It was very exciting! So... what do you think? Do you approve of the new look of CM? Or do you resist change? I'm interested to hear how others respond to the update!
(Oh, and if you're thinking that this announcement was a little anti-climactic... perhaps it's more exciting to consultants than non-consultants, I don't know.... but don't you worry! There are some VERY cool customer-related announcements to share just ahead!)
