Finished Layout: Scott's Black Belt

Last September, Scott (sometimes known as The Husband) earned his black belt in Jujitsu, which he had been studying for about 4 years. He had a promotional ceremony at his dojo, which many of his friends and family attended. It was so much fun, and I really wanted to highlight this accomplishment of such a fantastic goal.


For this layout, I actually used the Wishes and Dreams Display Accents (now discontinued) that were sold to complement the Everyday Display that hangs in my house. I like to use the display to showcase recent pictures, then simply transfer those displays into the scrapbook album. It always feels like a shortcut when I do that!

These appear a bit dark, which is due to my photo of the layouts, not the layouts themselves. But notice that the journaling box does not have my typical handwriting... I had Scott journal this one! And he did! Without complaining! What a great scrapbooker's husband he is.
