World Card-Making Day: Oct. 3rd, 2009

Saturday was World Card-Making Day! I, for one, had no idea it existed, so it was a complete coincidence that I happened to make some cards on Friday night.

I am definitely a scrapbooker at heart, but one of my favorite ways to use up scrap paper and leftover supplies is to make a batch of cards. I keep them in a box and open it up whenever there is a birthday or special occasion, and I have handmade cards ready to go!

On Friday night, I discovered some pink cardstock, tiny polka-dotted flowers, and paper ribbon. They went perfectly together, so I came up with these:

Those of you who have scrapbooked with me know that I am stingy with my adhesive! The CM tape runner has some strong adhesive packed into it, so I only use tiny bits at a time. See the puckering of the paper ribbon on these cards? Yeah... I needed to use a little bit more. :)

The embellishments on these cards are from the Creative Memories Delight Power Palette (Delight Paper Ribbon, Delight Paper Flowers, and Delight Title Stickers). Like having a little inspiration while you work? You can view many wonderful card samples and other project ideas at the CM Project Center.

How about you? What do you do with your scraps and leftover supplies?
