Mission: Photo Organization

I'm off this week (yes, we have a week off every February, and it's beyond awesome). I decided to take advantage of both my week at home and a kick-ass promotion at Walgreens for photo processing, and do some organizing!

See, I got married in August. Immediately after that, I became a Creative Memories consultant. You'd think that would mean that I'd be scrapbooking my days and nights away, right? Not exactly. I've been spending so much time hosting get-togethers, workshops, and parties, I've completely neglected my own albums! Yeesh.

So I went on a mission last week. I ordered over 500 photos (yes! 500!) from the time of the wedding, all the way through last weekend. They looked like this, packaged oh-so-prettily in their Walgreens envelopes....

Then I got my Power Sort Mini Box, dividers at the ready....

Next, I laid out all 550 photos, sorted by event...

Then stacked them in order in the Power Sort Box, in the order that I'll be scrapbooking them (don't worry, that bad boy holds 600 photos)...

Lid on....

Annnnd.... DONE! It only took me 30 minutes and they're ready to be cropped and stuck onto those lovely 12x12 pages! But I think I'll save that until tomorrow. :)

The Power Sort Mini Box is $12, holds up to 600 4x6 or 5x7 photos, and comes with 12 dividers. There's also the full-sized Power Sort Box, but that holds up to 2400 photos, and... well... I'm just not sure you're ready for that yet.

Happy Sorting!
